About Us

The Hudson Valley Travel Basketball League was established in May 2026 as a New York not-for-profit corporation organized for charitable and educational purposes, consistent with Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Its primary purpose is to coordinate play among independent, community-based youth basketball programs in Westchester and the greater Hudson Valley area.

The league is governed by a five-member Board of Directors, each of whom also serves as an Officer (President, Treasurer, Secretary, and Vice Presidents). In those roles, they manage the league’s day-to-day operations, including scheduling, administration, and divisional oversight.

Each participating program is led by an individual who serves as their community’s primary point of contact with the league. Program leaders are encouraged to provide input on league matters and may serve on committees to further the league’s mission.

The Board of Directors and Officers aims to govern and manage the league with fairness, transparency, consistency, and respect.

The Hudson Valley Travel Basketball League brings together community-based youth basketball programs in a structured, competitive environment that emphasizes development, positivity, teamwork, respect, and personal growth.

By enabling players to compete on and against neighborhood teams, the league promotes not only athletic growth but also character development, discipline, and a sense of community.

The league is guided by a commitment to sportsmanship, integrity, and fairness. All policies and decisions are made with the goal of serving the best interests of the majority of participating children.
